The Henderson Lions are preparing for the 2024 version of the club’s biggest annual fundraiser, the One-Night Live Auction set for set for 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at Rookies Sports Bar and Restaurant in downtown Henderson, said a release from the club.

Tickets are $75 each.

Attendees can bid on a wide variety of items while also know that they they are helping the Lions to make Henderson a better place to live and work, said the release.

Some of the items that will be auctioned are:

  • one night stay at Legends Hotel and dinner for two at Cavanaugh’s Restaurant
  • one night cabin rental at the Farmer and Frenchman
  • one night stay and a round of golf for two at French Lick
  • Henderson Brewer’s Experience by Henderson Brewing Company
  • Tennessee Titans tickets
  • a Blackstone Griddle
  • a grandfather clock
  • a spring lawn and garden package
  • $1,500 landscaping package
  • and lots and lots of bourbon

The ticket includes a meal, drink ticket and access to bidding.

Tickets are available by emailing  hendersoncitylions@gmail.com, contacting the Henderson Lions Facebook page or from  Lions Club members.

The club raised nearly $40,000 in last year’s live auction, said the release. The money was used for grants to local nonprofit organizations, scholarships for local high school seniors as well as eye care needs and sight conservation programs, including vision screenings for first, third, fifth and seventh graders in Henderson County Schools.

The club’s most recent fundraising event was the Lions Arts and Crafts Festival at Audubon State Park the first weekend in October in which about $25,000 was raised, said the release.
