Boil water advisory for Henderson east side should be lifted Wednesday
A boil water advisory for a large area on the east side of Henderson will likely be lifted Wednesday, said the Henderson Water Utility general manager.
HWU General Manager Bart Boles sent a message Tuesday that the boil water advisory would probably be lifted Wednesday morning.
In a different message sent out Monday, HWU said that about 1,093 customers were affected after a water main break occurred at the corner of Fifth Street and Heilman Avenue.
The affected area is generally defined as beginning at the corner of Heilman Ave, following the railroad tracks to the State Police post, continuing east to Bent Creek subdivision and then north around the Highlander subdivision, before returning to the corner of Heilman Ave, said the message. All customers in the affected area are under this Advisory.
The following schools are specifically included in this advisory: East Heights Elementary School, Henderson County High School, and North Middle School
All water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth and giving to pets must be boiled for at least one full minute before using.
The advisory will remain in effect until water samples test clean (typically 24 hours after the break is fixed), said HWU, which will post a notice when it is safe to return to normal use.

Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday
Daylight saving time ends Sunday, so you should plan to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night — and maybe enjoy an extra hour of sleep!
Since 2007, daylight saving time has begun at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday of March and ended at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of November.
Thus the phrases “spring forward” (move your clocks ahead one hour on the second Sunday of March) and “fall back” (set your clocks back on the first Sunday of November).
