HPD arrests man for threatening to bring a gun to city building
The Henderson Police Department arrested a Henderson man for threatening to bring a gun to the Henderson Municipal Building, according to an HPD release.
Dalton Burden, 28, was charged with second-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree disorderly conduct, police said.
The release said police were called to the city building after a dispute on Monday between Burden and a city employee. Officers arrived after Burden had left, said the release.
The employee said Burden was upset about a billing issue and directed derogatory language to them, according to the release.
Burden left the office and walked out of the building, and at the same time, a second employee who had witnessed the incident walked out. Police said the witness told officers Burden said he would be back and was going to bring a gun.
Another witness also said they heard Burden comment about a gun, police said.
After obtaining an arrest warrant, officers located Burden on the morning of April 29 at a local address.
Burden was booked into the Henderson County Detention Center where he was being held on a $10,000 bond.
