Professional experience: Worked in customer service for 8 years at Ohio Valley National Bank (Now Field and Main Bank); Currently have worked 21 years at the Henderson County Clerk Office. Served the public as a Motor Vehicle Deputy Clerk for 7 years, worked as the Bookkeeper for 11 years while assisting the Elections Deputy and then took over the Election Deputy Position in 2022.
Current occupation: Currently work as the Election Deputy for the last 3 years.
Family: Husband, Danny Smith; One adult daughter, Ellie
Why did you decide to run for this office?
I’m running because this community is my home, and I believe in serving it well. After 21 years working in the office, I have the knowledge and experience to continue serving the citizens of Henderson with integrity and excellence.
Why do you believe you are the best choice for this seat?
I have 21 years of experience working in the Clerk’s Office and I believe I am the best candidate for Henderson County. I know the value of friendly customer service and treating people with respect. I believe in fair elections, and I take pride in making sure our process is honest, secure and well-run. I am committed to continuing the great work we do at the Clerk’s office.
What are your top priorities for the next term, if elected?
If elected, my top priorities will be to deliver excellent customer service and communication to the citizens of Henderson County and to protect the integrity of our Elections. My goal is to ensure that every service we provide is smooth and efficient for our customers.
