Why did you decide to run for this office?
I have lived in Robards, Kentucky for 41 years, and I care deeply about the direction our small town is heading. I’ve seen many changes over the years, including local farms being leased/sold and our community landscape shifting. With much of our town leadership coming from an older generation, I feel it is time for someone with long-term roots, fresh perspective, and a strong commitment to our future to step up. I ran for a city commissioner seat to help ensure that growth is handled responsibly and that the voices of everyday citizens are heard and represented.
Why do you believe you are the best choice for this seat?
I’m a good candidate because I have 41 years of firsthand experience living in Robards and truly understand the people, values, and history of the community. I’ve seen the town through times of change and growth, which gives me real perspective on what works and what needs improvement.
I’m invested in the future of Robards—not just as a resident, but as someone who cares about protecting its character while guiding it forward responsibly. My long-standing ties, practical understanding of local concerns, and willingness to step up and serve show leadership, commitment, and genuine dedication to the town.
What are your top priorities for the next term, if elected?
The top priorities are responsible growth, communication, short- and long-term goals so we can show Robards what our future can look like.
A final brief statement to support your candidacy.
I’ve proudly called Robards home for 41 years, and I care deeply about our town and the people who live here. I’m running for city commissioner because I believe in steady leadership, open communication, and responsible growth that protects our community’s values. I’m committed to listening, working hard, and making decisions that keep Robards strong today and for future generations.
