Founder Cindy Weaver resigned Wednesday as executive director of Infinite Hope, citing health issues.

The Henderson-based nonprofit organization, which Weaver founded and incorporated in 2020, provides help to suicide loss survivors and strives to provide community suicide-prevention strategies.

Weaver initially said she would step away from any work with the organization, but later indicated she would continue in an advisory role to its loss team.

In a social media post, Weaver expressed thanks to those she had encountered through the organization and urged support for other volunteers who will continue with the organization.

“Cindy saw a need to provide citizens of Henderson, Webster and Union counties with services and support during traumatic events and created Infinite Hope,” Infinite Hope board Chairman Chip Stauffer said in a statement.

“Cindy’s passion and vision has been extremely beneficial to friends and families that have been impacted by suicide,” he said. “Infinite Hope will now try and continue what Cindy has started. As with any organization losing its founder and executive director, it is our responsibility as a board to continue the work and mission of Infinite Hope.”

Information about the organization is available at infinitehome.com and www.facebook.com/infinitehopeky.
