The third annual Juneteenth Celebration Sunday evening in Central Park featured local entertainment, food trucks and vendors, bouncy houses and giveaways.
Another Juneteenth Celebration will be 3-7 p.m. Saturday, June 22, on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard from Alvasia to Alves streets. Called a “neighborhood block party,” there will be a large inflatable swimming pool, a corn hole tournament, bouncy houses and food giveaways, according to Henderson City Commissioner Robert Pruitt, who is sponsoring the event. It is also sponsored by the Housing Authority of Henderson, Audubon Kids Zone and Tyson Foods, he said.
