Henderson native Tony Krampe has been named the Owensboro market president for German American Bank, according to a release from the bank.

German American said that Krampe will lead the company’s financial services team which offers commercial and personal banking, investments and wealth advisory services in Daviess and Henderson counties in Kentucky and Spencer and Perry counties in Indiana.

“I am a big believer in the power of community banking and have always respected German American Bank’s reputation for being involved and showing their support by giving back.  I’m looking forward to joining the strong group of local leaders in Owensboro, Henderson, Rockport, and Tell City,” said Krampe in a prepared statement.

“Tony is an accomplished community banker. His appointment as Market President solidifies an already strong and dedicated team of local professionals serving Owensboro and the surrounding communities,” states John Lamb, German American Bank Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Banking Officer. “Tony’s talent and leadership experience will continue to strengthen our presence with a focus on client relationships, local decision making, and a strong commitment to community.”

Krampe has more than 30 years of banking and commercial lending experience, serving businesses in the tri-state area, including Owensboro, Henderson and Evansville, said the release.

He is a graduate of Murray State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance and has completed IBA Commercial Lending School and Omega Commercial Credit Training.

Kramep remains deeply rooted in the communities he serves, holding positions on various non-profit, church, chamber and economic development boards, said the release.

He also enjoyed several years of coaching track and pole vaulting for both school and club organizations.

He resides in Owensboro with his wife and son and has three grown daughters and two grandchildren.
