Members of the Latta family have purchased the insurance operations of Field & Main Bank, which acquired their family’s insurance agency 15 years ago.

Field & Main Insurance is now Latta Insurance LLC, an independent insurance agency. It remains located at 140 N. Main St., Suite A, along with an office at 5401 Vogel Rd. in Evansville.

“Whitney Latta Floyd and Justin Latta have purchased the agency back from Field & Main Bank in what we can only describe as a very amicable transaction,” Field & Main Bank CEO Scott Davis said in an email message Tuesday.

Whitney Floyd serves as the agency’s president while Justin Latta is CEO. Their father, Bill Latta, is director of insurance.

“Our 15-year partnership with Field & Main Bank has been incredibly rewarding,” Floyd said in a news release. “While this transition is bittersweet, when the opportunity arose, my brother Justin and I knew it was one we couldn’t pass up.

“This move allows us to return to the Latta Insurance name, a brand synonymous with trust and excellence for over half a century,” Floyd said. “We are proud to embrace the Latta Insurance legacy and continue providing exceptional service to our clients.”

“We have immense respect for the Latta Insurance team and their outstanding work,” Davis said in the release. “While we will certainly miss them being a part of our team, we believe this transition will better position both the insurance team and our bank for future success. We are excited about this opportunity for Whitney Latta Floyd and Justin Latta and wish them and their team success in their future endeavors.

“Returning to the Latta Insurance name honors the rich history and strong reputation that has been built over the years,” Davis said. “We are confident that Latta Insurance LLC will continue to provide exceptional service and expertise to its clients.”

Latta Insurance’s new website, LattaIns.net, says the agency specializes in auto insurance, home insurance and health insurance throughout Kentucky and Indiana. That includes personal and business insurance as well as group health plans.
