The Henderson County Public Library is issuing a correction regarding the details for the upcoming event, “A Night of Excellence: Celebrating African Americans in Leadership, Service and Advocacy.” We apologize for the previous misinformation provided to The Hendersonian and appreciate the community’s patience as we set the record straight.

The accurate event details are as follows:
Event Details:
Date: Friday, February 27, 2026
Time: 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Henderson County Public Library Event Suite
Admission: Registration is required; dinner will be served.

The event will feature keynote speaker Jim Coleman, President and CEO of Coleman Crest Farm. An organic produce farmer, Mr. Coleman is committed to preserving his family’s African American farming legacy while leading Coleman Crest Farm as a center for education, empowerment, agritourism, and the celebration of Kentucky agriculture, culture, and food. The evening will conclude by honoring three outstanding individuals whose dedication and service continue to strengthen our community. Registration is required, and dinner will be served.

The Henderson County Public Library sincerely regrets any confusion this may have caused. We are committed to providing our community with accurate, timely information and are taking steps to ensure our communications remain clear and reliable moving forward.
