Runway Red, Matthew 25’s largest annual event, hits the stage again this year on March 28 at the Preston Arts Center.
The event will be a celebration of Matthew 25’s 30 years in service this year, and the organization will launch its 30-year campaign at the time, said Rachel Trout, who is Matthew 25’s outreach and development coordinator.
She said the details of the campaign are a surprise and will be revealed at the event.
Trout said this year’s event will feature 32 models who will be outfitted by 10 boutiques and retailers. There are three new retailers participating this year: Charlie & Claire’s, Just Chic Consignment and Dillard’s, she said.
Here is the schedule:
Exclusive VIP Dinner: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Cocktail/Mocktail Hour for VIP Guests: 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Entry for all guests: 7 p.m.
Fashion Event: 7:30-9:30 p.m.
In addition to the food, drink and models, Runway Red will also be a celebration of the life and legacy of Bill Kaelin, a longtime nurse practitioner who worked in both the Henderson and Owensboro offices.
Kaelin, 56, died last April. According to Trout, Kaelin was highly respected, built relationships and provided compassionate care to Matthew 25’s patients. Twenty-two of his family members will be in attendance, Trout said.
“This year’s Runway Red is about celebrating 30 years of compassionate care while honoring the legacy of our dear colleague, Bill Kaelin,” Trout said. “Bill believed deeply in this mission, and every ticket purchased helps us continue that work for patients across the 37 counties we serve in Kentucky and Indiana.”
Trout said the larger sponsorships were closed March 16 as the organization needed to get programs printed before the show. She said, however, that if a business really wants to provide sponsorship, she can make it work up until Tuesday, March 24.
Individual tickets are available and will be open up until the Saturday show, Trout said. Individual tickets are $40. They can be bought here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/runway-red–2026
There is also an expansive silent auction that consists of 35 packages to bid on, she said. The bidding will be done in a digital format this year, Trout said.
