The Dollar General Store on North Green Street was closed by the Henderson Fire Department’s fire marshal because multiple aisles and exits were blocked by boxes of stock.
Matt Anderson, division chief with HFD who also serves as fire marshal, said HFD received complaints about the blocked exits and aisles and those complaints were confirmed when he went to take a look at the store.
“You couldn’t get around the store,” he said.
The store was closed Thursday. Anderson said the closure shouldn’t last long and that he’s working with the store manager who will call him when the stock has been shelved and the aisles are clear. He said he expects the store will be open before the weekend.
