(The Hendersonian made a mistake with Anna Holderfield’s obituary in Wednesday morning’s obituary listings in the newsletter. We are posting here the entire obituary from Benton-Glunt and Tapp.)

Anna L. Holderfield, age 88, of Robards, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

Anna was a member of the Henderson Kentucky, Moose Lodge Chapter #732 and the Women of the Moose Lodge Chapter #441. She worked for Gibbs Die Casting for 30 years as a stockroom manager. Anna was an avid crafter and enjoyed horse racing and going to the casino.

In addition to her parents, Sterling “Red” and Marguerite Utley Griffin, Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Marvin Holderfield, Sr. and her siblings: Kenny Griffin, Bill Griffin, Jim Griffin, Sharon Yates, and Etta Warner.

Anna is survived by her daughters Debra Goemmer of Stafford, VA and Aimee Staser (Brian) of Henderson, KY; sons: Randall Tasa (Janice) of Corydon, KY, Marvin Holderfield Jr., (Donna) of Newburgh, IN, Ricky Holderfield (Annette) of Henderson, KY, and Gehlin Menti of Arlington, TX; brothers: Tommy Griffin, Sterling M. Griffin, Walter Griffin, and Gary Griffin all of Henderson, KY; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Anna’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the funeral home with
Mr. Gehlin Menti officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Shriners Hospital for Children, P.O. Box, 1525 Ranson, WV, 25438
