Food Service Inspections

Oct. 15-Nov. 15

Food service inspections are made by the Henderson office of the Green River District Health Department.

A — 85 to 100 percent with no critical violations.

B — Failed two consecutive regular inspections or a follow-up inspection.

C — Any critical violations or 84 percent and below. A follow-up inspection is required within 10 days.

The Hendersonian only provides details of critical violations.

– Presence of insects. Flies in kitchen/prep area.

– Floors not draining properly. Standing water in mop sink area.

– Toilet facility not clean.

– Nonfood-contact surfaces have accumulation of soil. Prep tables lack frequent cleaning.

– Food/nonfood-contact surface is not smooth and easily cleanable.

– Lack of properly maintained refrigeration unit for TCS food.

– Fly trap in use over prep sink.

– Food not clearly marked to indicate the date or day by which the food shall be consumed, sold or discarded.

-Food stored uncovered.

-Hand cleaner not provided at lavatory or hand washing sink.

– Employees eating, drinking or smoking in unauthorized area.

– Presence of insects. Flies present throughout the food area, bait trap being used next to drink machines.

– Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment not cleaned at a frequency to prevent accumulation of soil residue.

-Food/nonfood-contact surface allows the migration of deleterious substances or imparts colors, odors or tastes.

– Food not stored at least 6 inches above the floor.

– Food not clearly marked to indicate the date or day by which the food shall be consumed, sold or discarded.

– Food stored uncovered inside walk in freezer.
