Henderson Police Department says a weekend shooting in the East End injured one man.

HPD on Monday released two videos captured from doorbell cameras from a shooting incidents on the same night.

In one, several people can be seen running through a neighborhood and a car driving on the street. After the car passes, a person can be seen firing rounds in the direction of the car.

In another, numerous shots can be heard as a car drives away. Then, several people walk by the camera. They appear to be teenagers.

Police are asking residents for information about the incident and additional footage.

Watch the videos here and here.

According to a release from HPD, police were called at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday to the area of the 1200 block of Cumnock Street in response to a report of multiple shots fired.

Police did not release the man’s name who was injured.

The release said that officers upon arrival to the scene located the victim, who had a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police say he was taken to hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

During a canvas of the neighborhood, investigators located video footage of at least one person firing a handgun. The shooter was with several other individuals prior to firing their handgun, police said. After the shots were fired, the group left in different directions on foot.

Anyone with information on this incident or that may be able to provide additional footage is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department. Information can be directed to Detective J. Meyer at 270-831-1295.
