Seven downtown Henderson homes on South Elm Street will be all decked out for the holiday season for the Garden Club of Henderson’s Third-Annual Candlelight Christmas Tour.

The tour is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 12, from 4-7 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, at The Depot Welcome Center/Tourism Office, 101 N. Water St.

There will be 450 tickets with a recommended start time available for this year’s tour, which is an increase from what was available for the first two years. Tickets are $30 each, cash or check only.

Homes on the tour (starting at Washington Street and going to Clay Street) are:

  • Marlene and Tom Williams, 100 S. Elm St.
  • Mary Gail and Paul Wilder, 116 S. Elm St.
  • Caroline and Shane Satterfield, 131 S. Elm St.
  • Lynda and Michael Schreiner, 140 S. Elm St.
  • Jody and Kurt Wilson, 204 S. Elm St.
  • Betty and Ike Norment, 205 S. Elm St.
  • Starla and Jason Sands, 235 S. Elm St.

The Natural Light of Christmas Marketplace also will be located in Gallery 101 at The Depot from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. The Garden Club will host a reception with snacks and punch at this location.

The marketplace will feature 14 merchant artisans, craftsmen and vendors selling food and gift items packaged and ready for holiday gifting. The marketplace is open to the public; only tour ticket holders are eligible to enter a restaurant gift card drawing.

Carriage rides by Olivia Kramer/Hilltop Stables will be available for $10 per person starting at Central Park. Musical groups and choirs also will be located along the tour.

In the event of inclement weather, tour will be rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13. If the event has to be canceled because of the weather on the second date, ticket purchases will be considered a donation. Sales support the Garden Club’s community beautification projects.

The Garden Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
