“A special kind of camping–Kids’ Club” was held on June 22 this year.  Despite the heat, 23 children and several St. Anthony’s volunteers gathered at the Brain Injury Adventure Camp and experienced peer support, coping strategies and remembering activities. Tim Johns at the Brain Injury Adventure Camp helped them fight fears around ziplining and fun was had by all. By the end of the day, as they whispered messages to their loved ones on butterflies, everyone felt the peace of healing fly up above. The bereavement camps held by St. Anthony’s each year are so important for the children of the community. It is our passion to serve the community not only through Palliative and Hospice care but also through Bereavement.

We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the volunteers, camp coordinators, and community members who make these camps possible each and every year.
