The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Celebration event scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday has been canceled because of inclement weather and the possibility of more, according to information from the Henderson-Henderson County Human Rights Commission.

The human rights commission said that WSON will broadcast a special program at 3 p.m. featuring Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry in place of the in-person celebration. Terry will deliver her speech live from the WSON Studio.
