Alex Bowley | Soccer | Athlete of the Week for week ending Aug. 30
Alex Bowley had a huge week for the Henderson County Boys Soccer team as they picked up wins over Second Region opponents Hopkinsville and Caldwell County. The senior forward had a total of six goals and one assist, including scoring a career-high five goals on Thursday evening against Caldwell County.
Bowley on his performances: “Being selected as athlete of the week is a great honor and I want to thank the people that nominated me. This week we had two games that we thought we would be able to put some goals on the board and get out and run. I was able to get in behind the defense multiple times and put it away after we finally gained some momentum…My teammates have done a great job of finding me in great spaces and I’ve been able to put the ball away and hopefully that can continue throughout the rest of the year.”
