Professional experience: I have seven years of experience owning and operating a regional service business headquartered in Henderson (Nu-Look, Inc.), which involves managing 25+ employees across 10 stores on a daily basis. I gained valuable leadership skills as the President of the Kappa Alpha Order at Georgetown College and also as Captain of my college and high school soccer teams.

Why did you decide to run for this office?
I decided to run for District 5 Magistrate because of my passion for making Henderson County a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I have watched Henderson’s growth over the last 10 years and believe that my perspective as a young professional in Henderson County will keep the momentum going forward. I also decided to run due to some concerns regarding future energy development in Henderson County which I do not believe is the best path forward for the citizens and families of my hometown.
Why do you believe you are the best choice for this seat?
I believe I am the best candidate for this seat because of my passion for helping others, my business experience, and my ability to listen and reason through challenging situations.
What are your top priorities for the next term, if elected?
The first priority of the Fiscal Court is to properly manage the finances of the County government, so I will fully immerse myself into the finances of the county. I’d advocate for investing in county infrastructure, county employees, a healthy reserve fund, and the reduction of the county insurance tax.
Another priority would be to protect the natural beauty of Henderson County and give healthy pushback to future “green energy” projects wanting to locate in Henderson County.
Another priority would be to work and communicate well with my colleagues on the Fiscal Court and the City Commission, since the majority of District 5 resides within the city limits.
My final priority would be to help position Henderson County for the growth that will come after the completion of the I-69 bridge.

Though we have seen positive growth over the past 10 years in our county, we must confront the next 10 years with new approaches and ideas. As a young professional who was born and raised in Henderson, I believe I have a lot to contribute towards that new approach for Henderson County and I am willing to put in the time and effort to make it come to fruition. I humbly ask for your vote if you reside in District 5.
