The city of Henderson will host a Wathen Lane construction project wrap-up and discussion 6 p.m. Monday in the clubhouse of The Bridges Golf Course.

Henderson Mayor Brad Staton said the project is expected to be completed in the next few weeks, and the meeting has been scheduled to address any concerns or questions from those who live near Wathen Lane while also going over the remaining pieces of the construction.

Throughout the past several months, administrators of a Facebook page called “Friends of Wathen Lane” have poked fun at the slow pace of and the quality of work by contractor Hinkle Contracting Company. Also posted on the FOWL page recently were a series of questions about the road width, turning lanes, walking path, unneeded tree cuts and project length.

Staton said the discussion will also include any traffic changes as the project ends and last-minute additions that have been suggested by neighbors.
