The Henderson County High School football game versus Meade County has been moved to Thursday night because of the prediction of potential severe weather on Friday.

HCHS athletic director Nathan Grace sent an email Tuesday which said that the game will be 6 p.m. Central Thursday in Brandenburg.

“After receiving a request from Meade County administration to consider moving the game to a different day due to potential severe weather, and cold front that is driving the system, we have met and decided that in the best interest of the student athletes to have the most favorable conditions to compete,” said Grace in the email.

The ticket gate opens at 4:45 p.m. Central. The high school is located at 938 Old State Road, Brandenburg, Ky. 40108.

“We understand that a major decision like this affects numerous people and causes conflicts when we move from the traditional Friday night, but for the best conditions for the fans and student-athletes, we ask for understanding and support,” Grace wrote.
