Donations to Goodfellows nearing 15K

After the fifth, sixth and seventh batches of donations, the Goodfellows’ fundraising totals $14,927, according to a release from the city of Henderson.

For the 84th season, the annual Goodfellows Christmas giveaway will provide a gift bag of warm clothing and toys to local children. Goodfellows’ annual goal is to serve 500 children and raise $35,000 to purchase gift items and organize a party with cake, ice cream, clowns, entertainment, and Santa Claus.

The 2023 party is set for 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 at South Middle School. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.

Donations can be mailed to the Henderson Municipal Building at P.O. Box 716, Henderson, KY 42419 (or dropped off at the drive-thru during business hours) or to Goodfellows at P.O. Box 1711, Henderson, KY 42419.
