NAACP holds voter registration day at 12 locations Saturday

The Henderson branch of the NAACP is hosting a voter registration day on Saturday.

There will be 12 locations citywide for people to register to vote, according to information submitted by the NAACP. Representatives will be at the location from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. to sign up voters, according to the NAACP.

Those wishing to register need to bring a valid identification and  a Social Security number, and must fill out a voter registration card.

The locations include:

  • Sureway Eastgate at 1600 2nd Street
  • Sureway North at 504 Watson Lane
  • Sureway South at 1126 S. Green St.
  • The Henderson County Public Library at 101 S. Main St.
  • Yum Yum Chinese Restaurant at 241 S. Green St.
  • John Earl’s at 733 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
  • Metzger’s Tavern at 1000 Powell St.
  • Medina’s Mexican Store at 1035 Washington St.
  • Golden Corrall at 1320 N. Green St.
  • The Chloe Randolph Organization office at 324 First St.
  • The YMCA at 460 Klutey Park Plaza
  • The Housing Authority of Henderson at 111 S. Adams St. 

Deadline to register in the November election is Oct. 7.
