The Sureway on Watson Lane cut the ribbon on its $1 million renovation Friday.

Store Manager Brooke Wolfe said the renovation on the store that was built in 1976 began in September. Thus far, she said customers—many of whom have been coming to the store since it was first opened—“really like it.”

“I’m just excited for it to be all done,” Wolfe said.

Among the updates are new refrigeration and freezer cases, new paint, new decoration kits, new flooring and new value dump bins, Wolfe said.

Chad Hargrove, the division manager covering western Kentucky, said this is probably the fourth renovation of the store since it opened.

He also said a second Sureway, the Eastgate store, will be renovated, and a start date for that will be sometime between June and September.
