Rachel Trout was named the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Ambassador of the Year at the organization’s Annual Meeting Monday evening at Ellis Park.

Chamber ambassadors are members of the chamber who have volunteered to serve as liaisons between the chamber, its members and the community.

Ambassadors attend chamber and member events, assist with membership retention and recruitment and advocate for the chamber and its mission through a variety of opportunities and incentives.

In turn, ambassadors have the opportunity to develop new contacts on a professional level, building a successful network for themselves and their business.

Trout is outreach and development coordinator for Matthew 25 AIDS Services.

In other chamber Annual Dinner news:

  • New chamber President Clay Gillham reported that chamber membership is approaching 500, with 490 members currently on the rolls.

She noted chamber initiatives such as the inaugural recipients of the Henderson 20 Under 40 to honor young professionals and the Eras of Women in Business Soiree and Dinner in 2023.

Gillham, in just her third week since being promoted to the position, thank chamber staff members Donna Warren and Madison Krampe, as well as chamber directors, committee members and ambassadors, for their support.

  • Chamber Chair-elect Katy Groves Mussat of Farmer & Frenchman Winery & Café made closing remarks about the chamber’s year ahead.
