Warming center and White Flag shelter information

With oncoming frigid weather coming, Henderson County Office of Emergency Management posted the locations of warming shelters and White Flag shelter locations.

They are:

Warming Centers

1. The Salvation Army, 1213 Washington Street. Contact Major Claire Grainger, (270) 826-4472. Meals will be served at approximately 6 p.m. Hours of Operation: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

2. John F. Kennedy Community Center, 515 S Alvasia Street. Hours of Operation: 8 a.m.–8 p.m., Monday-Friday.

3. The Zone – Zion Baptist Church, 8158 KY 351. Hours of Operation: 8 a.m.–4 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday.

4. Henderson County Public Library, 101 S Main Street.  Hours of Operatio: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

White Flag Shelters for the homeless or otherwise unsheltered – Will not close

1. The Harbor House for Men at 804 Clay Street 2. The Father Bradley Shelter for Women and Children – 530 Klutey Park Plaza Drive.
