Food Service Inspections Sept. 15-Oct. 15

Food service inspections are made by the Henderson office of the Green River District Health Department.
A — 85 to 100 percent with no critical violations.
B — Failed two consecutive regular inspections or a follow-up inspection.
C — Any critical violations or 84 percent and below. A follow-up inspection is required within 10 days.

– TCS food not maintained at 57 degrees C (135 degrees F) of above. Hambergers temped at 99 degrees F.

– Expired Grade A dairy. Multiple gallons of expired milk.

– Individual towel and/or hand drying device not provided at lavatory or hand sink.

– No certified food manager present.

• Cancun Restaurant, 341 S. Green St., Sept. 25: C/87

– Presence of insects

– Outer openings not protected against entry of pests. Back door left open without any protection from pests. Walls and ceiling not clean.

– Proper waste receptacle not provided. Women’s restroom needs a trash can with a lid.

– Nonfood-contact surfaces have accumulation of soil. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment not cleaned at a frequency to prevent accumulation of soil residue.

– Cloths in use not stored in sanitizing solution. Wet wiping cloths throughout not stored in buckets.

– Food not stored at least 6 inches above the floor. Bag of rice in contact with the floor.

– Residential use insecticides on site.

– Food stored uncovered. Items in walk in and reach in cooler left uncovered.

– Hand washing sink is not accessible. Handwashing sink is to be used for handwashing only. Soiled spoon and sliced vegetables in the drain.

– Employees eating, drinking, or smoking in unauthorized area. Cups next to line need to be covered with a straw.
