United Way of Henderson County is hosting its first-ever kickball tournament from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 ad the Deaconess Henderson SportsPlex.

Funds raised will support United Way’s annual campaign, with dollars reallocated to Henderson County nonprofits delivering proven programs in health, financial stability, education and workforce development, according to a release from the local United Way.

“This is a great way for people to come together, have fun and support real impact in our community,” said Kelsi Dunham Johnston, executive director of United Way of Henderson County. “Every dollar raised helps us invest in programs that improve lives right here in Henderson.”

Team Details:

  • Co-ed teams of 10 to 15 players (minimum of 9)
  • All players must be 18 or older
  • $300 per team
  • Registration deadline: Aug. 9
  • Sign up at: https://forms.gle/avayDCrJFjJhTy937

Sponsorships are available for $400 and include one team entry, the company’s logo on the event T-shirt and recognition on United Way’s social media platforms, said the release.

Just last month, the organization returned more than $283,000 to 24 local nonprofits, a 56.8% increase in funding compared to the previous year, according to the release. UW officials believe the tournament will build on this momentum.

“Whether you’re kicking, catching or cheering from the sidelines, you’re helping fund programs that change lives,” said Riley Hamilton, campaign committee chair. “We’re excited to add this new event to our efforts to bring people together for a great cause.”

For more information or to inquire about sponsorships, contact Riley Hamilton at riley.hamilton@audubonmet.com or (270) 724-6988.
