Daytime closures on KY 1078 in Henderson next two weeks

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet started a cross-drain replacement project on Ky. 1078 that will see daytime closures each day through the middle of next week.

Crews will replace nine drainage tiles in all, with daily 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. closures. Work is expected to be completed by the middle of next week, although weather could impact the work schedule, said a KYTC release.

This work is being completed in preparation for a paving project at this location scheduled for later this month. Once all tiles are replaced, paving is expected to begin, with a new surface being put down from Ky. 416 to Ky. 812, said the release.

KYTC said a more detailed paving schedule will be released prior to that work commencing.

Work on Watson Lane continues this week

Henderson Municipal Power & Light says Phase 1 of the Utility Pole relocation/replacement project, which is a part of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s upcoming Watson Lane Road Widening project, will continue from Thursday through Saturday this week. The work will run from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each of those days.

HMP&L says the work that will occur this week is concentrated east of the U.S. 41/Watson Lane intersection. Work will continue from that intersection around Ollie’s Car Wash to the east toward Stonegate Drive. Work will also include work north along Brinson Dr. and adjacent to Henderson Chevy. This is a very high traffic area, and HMP&L is asking motorists to take extra precautions as you enter this work zone area.
