Mills appointed to General Regulatory Sandbox Advisory Committee

Henderson state Sen. Robby Mills has been appointed to the General Regulatory Sandbox Advisory Committee, according to a release from the Legislative Research Committee.

“I am honored to be appointed to this important committee,” said the Republican lawmaker in a prepared statement. “Innovation is the key to our state’s future prosperity, and I look forward to working with my fellow committee members to remove unnecessary barriers and support the growth of new products and services in Kentucky.”

According to the release, the General Regulatory Sandbox Advisory Committee is tasked with conducting reviews of regulations in the state and reporting to the General Assembly on “outdated or overly burdensome regulations that may be hindering progress.”

The report offers recommendations for reducing unnecessary red tape and ensuring that Kentucky’s regulatory framework supports economic development, said the release.

 County paving begins

The paving of county roads will begin Friday, according to information from the Henderson County government.

On Friday, Monday and Tuesday, crews will be in the Corydon area paving J Gibson Road. On Sept. 11 and 12, crews will be in the Robards area, paving Meahl Cates Road. On Sept. 12, crews will be in Robards paving Dick Smith Road.

Judge-Executive imposes burn ban

Henderson County Judge-Executive Brad Schneider has ordered a burn ban that began on Tuesday. In his order, exceptions include personal food preparation using grills or other self-contained cooking apparatuses and food preparation for community events, such as burgoo or barbecue events at which fire personnel are present. See the executive order below.
