A 20-year-old Corydon man died in an early Wednesday morning crash on Ky. 425, say authorities.

Tayler Baker was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on Ky. 425 about 2/10 of a mile west of its intersection with Ky. 1299, said Henderson County Sheriff Chip Stauffer.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was Lee Presley, 37, of Henderson. Stauffer said Presley was transported to Deaconess Midtown Evansville.

Stauffer said a Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reconstructionist is investigating the incident, and at this point, a cause has not been determined.

He said it was a head-on crash, one driver heading east and the other going west. He said he doesn’t know yet who came into the other’s lane or other details of the crash.

Stauffer said the investigation will look at all the contributing factors to the crash. He said it was foggy Wednesday morning and said it was a factor that will be looked at.

The crash occurred at 5:33 a.m., Stauffer said.

The sheriff said at this point in the investigation it does not appear that either driver had drunk alcohol or used narcotics.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet sent a release Wednesday morning that both lanes of Ky. 425 were blocked as well as a section of Ky. 1299 that runs to Old Madisonville Road.

Stauffer said the scene was cleared at 9:26 a.m.
