A Henderson woman who was involved in a Wednesday collision has died.
Shana Gish, 54, died Friday, Henderson County Sheriff Chip Stauffer told the Hendersonian.
Gish was involved in the collision that occurred at the intersection of Ky. 425 and U.S. 41-A.
According to a Wednesday release from HCSO, a 2018 Ford F-150 driven by Kenneth Willett, 78, Morganfield, with passenger Judy Willett, 78, was traveling east on Ky. 425 through the intersection with U.S. 41-A.
At the same time, a 2007 Nissan Sentra driven by Gish was traveling north on U.S. 41-A, said the release. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, said the release.
Stauffer said one of the vehicles disregarded the traffic control device. He said the collision is still under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff said no criminal charges will be filed. He said Henderson County officials historically do not seek criminal charges in collisions unless there’s some type of negligence, such as impairment caused by alcohol or drug use.
