Both candidates for Henderson County judge-executive seat have announced meetings to prepare for the fall campaign.
Democrat Lesley Jenkins-Mackey in a release said the official launch of his fall campaign, called Moving Henderson County Forward Together, will be 6 p.m. Monday, July 27, at Rookies.
Jenkins-Mackey will outline his vision for the county government at the event, said the release. Additionally, the event will focus on the “need for a practical, steady voice to manage community challenges while continuing Henderson County’s positive economic momentum.”
Meanwhile, Republican Timmy Dunn will host a meet and greet at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 2, at the Sandy Lee Watkins Park community building.
There will also be a volunteer meeting for those wishing to help on Dunn’s campaign which will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 26, at the Henderson County Library.
