A high-speed chase across the county Friday night ended when a truck crashed and flipped on the front yard of a residence on Ky. 351.
A Henderson Police Department release said officers were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence Friday night and were told a stolen truck from Daviess County could also be there.
When officers located the vehicle, the truck “left erratically and dangerously,” said the release.
The pursuit went through the Walmart parking lot. A Facebook video posted Friday night shows the white truck speeding across the Walmart parking lot with a police cruiser close behind.
After leaving the parking lot, the chase continued towards the city center and then to Second Street, where police say the truck collided with a marked police cruiser.
The truck then continued to the county on Ky. 351 near Holloway Lane where it crashed and flipped, according to police.
Doug White, who periodically assists with editing of the Hendersonian, was at his home on 351 watching a movie with his wife, Allison, when they heard “boom boom boom” and by the time they got to the window, police were running up to the wrecked vehicle, he said.
White said the chase ended in front of his house and the car rolled into his neighbor’s front yard. This occurred at about 9:15 p.m.
Police said both individuals in the truck are currently being detained.
