An employee of Audubon Metals died in a workplace accident Thursday afternoon, say local officials.
Stephanie Main, 54, died from injuries sustained from being run over by a front-end loader at the Ohio Drive factory, said Henderson County Coroner Shelia Patterson.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office as well as the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the incident, Patterson said.
A sheriff’s office release said emergency officials received a call at about 3:17 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
The coroner pronounced Main deceased on scene due to injuries, said the sheriff’s release.
Sheriff Chip Stauffer said on Friday morning there were no updates to the investigation.
The coroner said Main’s body was scheduled to be transported to the state medical examiner’s office in Louisville for tests.
Another media outlet reported that Main was a resident of Dixon.
