Northbound US 41 lane restriction scheduled to start Monday

A single lane restriction on northbound U.S. 41 at the KY 351/2nd Street overpass bridge is scheduled to begin on or after Monday, according to a release from I-69 Ohio River Crossing.

The closure is expected to begin after the morning rush hour and is scheduled to be in place through late April, said the release.

During the closure, crews will complete pavement work on the approach to the U.S. 41 overpass bridge, said the release.

Also, daily lane closures are expected on northbound and southbound U.S. 41 between Ky. 425 and U.S. 60, said the release.

The single-lane closures are expected to be in place over the next several weeks when crews will install noise walls, panel signs, lighting and guardrails and complete asphalt paving, final grading and seeding, said the release.

Motorists are also being alerted that the Airline Road overpass bridge, which is undergoing significant improvements, is scheduled to close later this month and will be closed for several weeks, according to I-69 ORX. It is expected to close on April 21 with work scheduled to be completed in August.

U.S. 41 under the Airline Road overpass is expected to remain open most of the time, said the release. Drivers should expect limited rolling closures and overnight lane restrictions during the work. More details will be provided closer to date.
