Henderson man arrested for holding up family members

A Henderson man was arrested on multiple charges after a family member says he held two people at gunpoint.

Anthony Kirk, 45, was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree terroristic threatening and violating the conditions of arrest.

Henderson police arrested Kirk after responding to a 911 call from a family member who said he held them at gunpoint in their home.

Police responded to the 2300 block of Adams Lane at around 9 p.m. on Friday, said a release from the Henderson Police Department.

When officers arrived, they were told Kirk had pointed a handgun at two people and told them to get on the ground, said the release.

Then the victims were told to put their hands behind their backs and Kirk said he was going to shoot them, police said.

When the victims attempted to leave, Kirk blocked the door. One of the victims received a minor injury while trying to get the handgun away from Kirk, police said.

Officers located Kirk outside of the home and took him into custody. Officers found the gun in and home and determined it was a replica, said police.

Police say Kirk was out on bond on a previous case. He was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center. His bond was listed at $7,500.
