The Henderson County Fiscal Court preliminarily approved a $36.5 million budget for fiscal year 2024-25 at Tuesday’s regular meeting.

The court voted 5-0.

The budget is comprised of

  • $11.33 million budgeted in the General Fund
  • $5.86 million in the Road Fund
  • $9.4 million in the Jail Fund
  • $1.68 million in the Local Government Economic Assistance Fund
  • $736,620 in State Grants Fund
  • $60,000 in Economic Development Fund
  • $21,000 in Clerk SB 135
  • $3.125 million for Health Insurance
  • $185,000 in Opioid Settlement Fund
  • $4.15 million in American Rescue Plan Act.

“I think it’s a solid budget,” said Judge-Executive Brad Schneider. “I think it sets us up for success.”
