Money from a Thursday evening fundraiser will go to help a Henderson woman who is battling cancer.
Drew Hennessy has been diagnosed with cancer, and according to a gofundme that has been set up for her, friends are trying to raise money for her visit to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston where she will receive specialized care.
The event, Gloves Up For Drew Give Back Night, will be from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at Firedome Pizza. Hennessy is a regular there and her teenage daughter works as a server there.
On Thursday, 15% of Firedome’s sales will go to Drew. Additionally, there will be a drawing of items that have been donated by local businesses as well as T-shirt sales.
