The Henderson County Democratic Party will host a candidate meet and greet Monday at the JFK Center.
Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., followed by candidates’ speeches at 6:30 p.m.
HCDP said in a release that the evening is a chance for candidates to meet and speak with concerned citizens and give those citizens a chance to begin forming personal relationships with candidates.
Scheduled to attend are U.S. Rep. candidate John ‘Drew’ Williams, U.S. Senate candidate Amy McGrath, U.S. Senate candidate Logan Forsysthe and U.S. Senate candidate Joel Willett.
It’s also a chance for those interested in running to meet members of the party to guide them through the process, said the release.
“It’s important for voters to know that democracy still matters and not only do they deserve a seat at the table, but that they belong there,” said local Democratic party chair Justin Wright.
