Recommendations for annual grant funding to local nonprofits was presented to the Henderson Fiscal Court on Tuesday.
Local organizations finished applications for funding from both the county and the city of Henderson in the spring.
The application process was coordinated by the United Way of Henderson.
After that, applications were reviewed by a 12-member allocations review team made up of city and county representatives and community members. It is chaired by Jack Brewer.
Brewer presented Henderson Fiscal Court Tuesday with the group’s recommendation for county donations.
The list includes nonprofit organizations, their project, their request and the funding that the allocations review team is recommending.
Brewer said at the meeting that the list is just a recommendation to the fiscal court.
The fiscal court has the final say and will determine the funding later.
The allocations review team will also present recommendations to the city later.
