Lenten Lunch Series returns Feb. 21

A spring tradition in Henderson will return on Feb. 21 with the Lenten Lunch Series presented by the Henderson Ministerial Association. 

For five Wednesdays during Lent, different churches will host a noon service followed by a light lunch hosted by the church. On Good Friday, a Stations of the Cross service is hosted at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. On Easter Sunday, a 6 a.m. Sunrise Service is planned at Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church. 

The public is invited to any or all of these services.

Here’s the schedule for the Lenten Series with the location of the week:

  • Feb. 21: Presbyterian Church of Henderson, 100 S. Main St. 
  • Feb. 28: First Christian Church, 830 S. Green St. 
  • March 6: Community Baptist Church, 1026 Pebble Creek Drive. 
  • March 13: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 5 S. Green St. 
  • March 20: First United Methodist Church, Third & Green streets (entry under portico along Green St.) 
  • March 29, Good Friday: Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 511 Second St.
  • March 31, Easter Sunday: Sunrise Service, 6 a.m., Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church, 937 Washington St.
