A spring tradition in Henderson will return on Feb. 25 with the Lenten Lunch Series presented by the Henderson County Ministerial Association.
For five Wednesdays during Lent, various churches will host a noon service followed by a light lunch.
On Maundy Thursday, also at noon, the service will be hosted at Community Baptist Church.
On Good Friday at noon, the Stations of the Cross service will be hosted at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
Though there is no fee for lunch, an offering will be taken for the Ministerial Association’s Good Samaritan Fund.
On Easter Sunday, a 6:30 a.m. Sunrise Service is planned at Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church.

Pressley is awarded prestigious scholarship
A Henderson County High School senior has been selected as one of 16 recipients for Western Kentucky University’s most prestigious award.
Sophie Pressley plans to major in Business Economics in the Gordon Ford College of Business, according to a release from WKU.
With her 2026-2027 Cherry Presidential Scholarship, she’ll be given $16,000 annually and $64,000 total over a four-year period at the school.
