Kylee Lyons | Volleyball | Athlete of the Week for week ending Nov. 1
Kylee Lyons was instrumental in helping lead Henderson County Volleyball to the Second Region Championship and a spot at the state tournament this past week. Lyons led the Lady Colonels with 37 kills over their three region tournament matches, helping to alleviate some of the pressure on the team’s other hitters, according to Head Coach Kelli Harris. The senior hitter was recently named to both the All-District and All-Region Teams. Lyons has had an amazing season all around and is second on the team with 296 kills, while also adding 129 digs, 56 blocks, 23 aces and 13 assists.
Lyons on her performance: “We’re all feeling incredibly proud and grateful right now. Going to state is a huge milestone, and it reflects how hard we’ve worked together all season. Being named Player of the Week is an honor, but it’s also a reflection of the support I get from my teammates and coaches every single day. We push each other, we celebrate each other, and we’ve built something special. We’re excited to represent Henderson County and keep giving it everything we’ve got.”
