There are no injuries in a Monday afternoon Clay Street fire, says the Henderson Fire Department.

HFD Division Chief Matt Anderson said the emergency call came in at 2:48 p.m. for the fire at 124 Clay St.

HFD units were attending a training session downtown and were able to respond quickly, Anderson said.

A little after 3 p.m. the fire appeared to be under control, Anderson said.

On scene, a  dark smoke wafted out of second floor windows as firefighters worked there and in the attic of the home.

While at the scene, Anderson said that a cause has not yet been determined.
