The Friends of the Library organization of the Henderson County Public Library will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, June 11.

The meeting will take place at 3 p.m. in the Pittsburgh Tank & Tower meeting rooms at the library. In addition to a brief business meeting that will include election of officers for the upcoming fiscal year, the annual meeting will include a program about what the library has to offer its patrons, library tours and refreshments. The public is invited to attend.

The Friends of the Library’s mission is to provide support for the library by purchasing books and equipment, assisting with programming and other tasks.

The organization is in the transition phase of aligning its fiscal year with that of HCPL and a new membership year will begin July 1. Information on joining will be available at the meeting and also can be found at the library.
