Kentucky State Police Post 16 released the name of a Henderson man who died after being struck by a vehicle late Tuesday night.

KSP said Lamont B. Henderson, 66, was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

Henderson was on foot in the 300 block of Green Street and crossing to Clay Street at about 11:30 p.m. when, according to KSP, he entered into the path of a Ford F-150 driven by a 17-year-old male.

The juvenile was not injured in the collision, said KSP.

KSP was notified of the incident by the Henderson Police Department which requested state police to investigate and reconstruct the vehicle-versus-pedestrian fatality crash, said a release from KSP.

A Wednesday afternoon release said the investigation is in its early stages, and reconstructionists are collecting and processing evidence.

The investigation and reconstruction is ongoing by Trooper Josh Turner. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Henderson City Police, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Henderson City Fire Department, Henderson County Emergency Medical Services and Henderson County Coroner’s Office.
