Those who want to help a family that lost its house in a Saturday fire can donate to the Henderson Christian Community Outreach and that organization will get the money to them.
The HCCO has set up the Goatee Family Relief Fund. The Goatee family lost their Cheatam Road home, which is located between Reed and Spottsville, in a Saturday evening fire.
According to other news sources, the call came into 911 Dispatch at 4:49 p.m. and the home is a complete loss. Additionally, the family lost a vehicle in the blaze that started after a propane tank busted and caught the house on fire.
HCCO Executive Director Susan Smith said people can come to HCCO’s office on Fifth Street to drop off a check, or they can donate through Paypal found on the organization’s website, www.hendersoncco.org.
