Jay Randolph was arrested Saturday and charged with third-degree terroristic threatening and resisting arrest.
According to Henderson Police Department Sgt. Bill Russell, Randolph went to Larry Majors’ apartment to confront him about different statements Majors has made about him and his family on social media. The pair have a long-standing feud on Facebook and often argue with and talk about the other on social media.
Randolph made a post on Saturday saying that he had had enough. He said he has asked for help from official agencies in dealing with Majors, but he has not received the help he needed, and now he was taking matters into his own hands.
When police arrived to the scene, Randolph had come down from the second-floor apartment and was in the parking lot still yelling up at Majors, Russell said.
Randolph continued to yell and make threats even after police told him to stop, so police arrested him and in the process, Randolph resisted, Russell said.
According to the Henderson County Detention Center’s website on Saturday night, no bond has been set yet for Randolph.
Randolph has been active with the Chloe Randolph Organization, which is run by his wife Kristie. It is a nonprofit organization educating, equipping and empowering survivors of domestic violence in and around our communities, according to its website.
In summer of 2025, Jay Randolph was arrested on a domestic violence charge after an altercation with his son. A charge of first-degree strangulation coming from that incident was amended to fourth-degree assault after his son recanted his initial statement about what happened.
According to court documents, the fourth-degree assault charge was scheduled to be dismissed in two years from the time of the incident if Jay Randolph had no further violations of law. Saturday’s incident puts the possibility of dismissal of the assault charge in question.
